My 7-Day RYZE Mushroom Coffee Experience

Let’s be clear: I love coffee. I also happen to love mushrooms, in my food, and now… apparently, in my cup?!


When I heard about mushroom coffee and all the wellness benefits packed into it (gut health, focus, calm energy, immune support… yes please), I knew I had to give it a shot. I’m not completely giving up coffee (let’s not be dramatic), but for now, I’m swapping my daily brew for a little functional fungi goodness instead.

Here’s how my first 7 days with RYZE Mushroom Coffee went:


Day 1 – Black & Bare


I followed the directions and used one scoop in 8 oz of hot water, no sweetener, no milk. I wanted to taste it in its purest form.


My honest take? It was… barely bearable. I could pick up hints of coffee, but the earthy mushroom flavor was definitely front and center. Not awful, but not my fave either.

Day 3 – Chillin’ With Ice


Y’all know iced coffee is my jam. So I went full café mode today:


  • 2 scoops of mushroom coffee

  • 4 oz of hot water to dissolve it

  • 4 oz of toasted coconut + almond milk blend

  • Raw honey

  • Poured over ice



This combo? ✨Chef’s kiss✨. The taste was rich, smooth, and totally satisfying. Definitely adding this to my rotation.



Day 4 – Iced Latte Vibes


No changes today! Just stuck with my iced latte flow. Cool, creamy, and refreshing. Perfect for a summer morning.



Day 5 – Hot Latte for the Win


It was a slower morning, so I went back to a warm mug. I used one scoop this time with steamed milk and honey. The warmth, the comfort; it gave coffee shop energy without the caffeine crash.



Day 6 – Back on Ice


Same as Day 4. Still loving the iced version the most, especially when I double the scoop. It just hits different!



Day 7 – Straight to the Point


I ended the week strong with two scoops in 8 oz hot water — no milk, no sweetener. Just me, the mug, and the mushrooms.


And honestly? I didn’t hate it. My taste buds have definitely adjusted. What felt earthy and weird on Day 1 now feels… grounding. Like my body recognizes it’s getting something good.


Final Thoughts
